Safe Foods
You can eat any of the following foods as they are naturally Gluten free:
• Meat, chicken and fish (but nothing with bread crumbs or batter)
• Milk (check yoghurts)
• Cheese (ready prepared grated cheese may have wheat)
• Breakfast Cereal made from rice and corn (check for Malt extract)
• Potatoes, rice and corn (be diligent with ready prepared chips and roast potatoes)
• Fruit and vegetables
• Fruit and Vegetable Juices.
You should always check the labels on food products to ensure that you are not eating anything with hidden Gluten.
The recently introduced Allergen labeling on foods has made identification much easier, however, it is always wise to check before you purchase.
