We are 100% confident in the quality and safety of the supplies.
For added assurance, all supplies are routinely tested for potential contamination.
Our flour alternative is produced in a dedicated gluten free blending plant and all the gluten free products are manufactured in a gluten free area with exclusive machinery and expert personnel.
For further assurance, each and every batch made is placed on "hold" until a lateral flow gluten assay test has been performed after which our Quality Assurance Team release the batch to the market place.
All packaged foods, whether it is in packets, cartons, tins or frozen by law has to have an ingredients list so that consumers may make an informed choice of what they are going to eat...or avoid.
From the ingredients list, you can tell whether a product contains gluten.
All Wellfoods and Antoinette Savill Siganture Series items have a full list of ingredients.
There are some ingredients that are made from cereals that do contain gluten. However, the processing removes all the gluten rendering the item safe for Coeliacs.
For example: glucose syrups, including dextrose, may be derived from wheat or barley.
Both the Wellfoods and the Antoinette Savill Signature Series do contain glucose syrup, but it is not derived from cereals.
Codex Wheat Starch
Codex Wheat Starch is specially prepared washed wheat that is very low in gluten, thus making it safe for Coeliacs.
Wellfoods and the Antoinette Savill Series do not contain ANY Codex starch.
As an interesting aside, the distillation process for producing alcoholic spirits, where the items are made from cereals, the distillation process renders the alcohol safe for Coeliacs.
So the whisky or vodka is fine, but please check the tonic.
